vStor

For a quick, safe, complete, and versatile data protection and recovery strategy, Catalogic has developed the Catalogic vStor server. The Catalogic vStor server, connected to disk storage pools, is a reliable streamlined tool that can serve as your DPX primary backup destination. The Catalogic vStor server can be installed on either a virtual appliance or a physical appliance at any time after deploying the Catalogic DPX Master Server.

Catalogic vStor servers can be deployed:

• on a physical machine

• in a VMware environment

• in a Hyper-V environment

For backups to and recoveries from a vStor server, both Block backups and Agentless backups are supported.

To use vStor as a backup destination, you need to create at least one vStor volume.
