NetApp

NetApp storage refers to ONTAP storage systems, including FAS, AFF, and Cloud Volumes ONTAP. NetApp storage integrates seamlessly with DPX backups through SnapVault technology. This provides an efficient disk target that replicates backups to NetApp systems over IP networks.

NetApp storage is integrated with SnapVault for block-level incremental replication. This allows only changed blocks to be efficiently transferred over the WAN to the NetApp system. Retention policies can also be managed natively on the NetApp side through Snapshot copies. The flexible deployment options with ONTAP 9 and Cloud Volumes ONTAP allow NetApp storage to be used on-premises or in the cloud.

NetApp storage can be deployed as:

  • On-premises FAS/AFF systems

  • Cloud Volumes ONTAP in AWS/Azure

  • FabricPool tiering to object storage
