To add a vStor Node to Catalogic DPX as a backup destination, follow these steps:
Ensure the DPX Master Server OVA appliance and the vStor server are network-visible to each other.
A vStor node can be part of only one node group.
Multiple vStor servers can be used in larger enterprise environments.
Open the web-based DPX Management Interface in a web browser.
Navigate to Nodes and click Add Node.
In the Add Node dialog, select vStor from the Node Type dropdown list.
Now, provide the following information:
Node Name: Enter a name for the new vStor node.
Hostname/IP Address: Enter the resolvable hostname or IP address of the vStor server.
Group Name: Select the group to which the new vStor node will belong from the dropdown list.
Username and Password: Enter the credentials for the vStor server.
Click Test to verify the entered details.
If the test is successful, click Save to add the vStor server to the DPX Master Server.
Now, you can verify the addition by viewing the Catalogic vStor node on the Nodes page.
Tip. To access the vStor Management Interface, click on the vStor node and select Manage.
