File Restore from File Backup
DPX allows you to restore files or directories protected by DPX agent workloads stored on tape or disk.
Prerequisites
Before you proceed with the restoration process, ensure that the backup storage, whether on tape or disk, is accessible and in a healthy state.
Creating File Restore from File Backup Job
To begin the process of restoring files, follow these steps:
Go to Job Manager in the sidebar.
Click New Restore Job to open the New Restore dialog.

Select File Restore from File Backup and click Next. A list will appear showing all files and directories backed up by previous file backup jobs.

Select files or directories you wish to restore and click Next.
You can select files and directories from different volumes and nodes.
Entire nodes or volumes cannot be selected.
Use dropdowns in the Backup Date/Time column to choose an earlier backup version (if available). You can customize your file search criteria using the Advanced Selection slider (see below).
Specify job options. This job can be tailored to meet specific recovery needs through a variety of settings and parameters.

Click Save. The restore job definition will be saved.
Attention! Restoring files to an alternate destination may require additional configuration to ensure that the restored data is usable in its new environment.

Review the summary of your job and click Restore. The job will run. If you want to run the job later, click Close. You will find the job in the Job Manager.
