You can use Microsoft Windows for Catalogic DPX for multiple purposes. It can be used as the Catalogic DPX Master Server, as the backup source, and more. For the product lifecycles of the Microsoft Windows operating systems for the Catalogic DPX solution, see End-of-Support.
Review the following table and notes to ensure that you are using the supported series and version of the Microsoft Windows operating systems:
Attention. Restoring ReFS volumes may result in unmountable or inaccessible destinations when the source and destination are both dynamic disks. This issue is seen with the Windows Server 2022 client.
As a workaround, use basic disks or restore individual files instead of full volumes when working with ReFS dynamic disk backups to avoid potential data loss. Full volume restores work as expected for NTFS and other file systems.
Catalogic DPX Master Server
DPX Master Server can no longer be installed on Windows Servers. Users using DPX 4.5.4 can still upgrade DPX 4.5.4 to the most recent version. For new deployments, use the DPX Master Server virtual appliance.
