Restoring Configuration Settings from Another vStor
This recovery method allows you to restore vStor configuration settings that have been replicated to a partner vStor.
Prerequisites
Deploy a fresh vStor with network access to the vStor where the configuration volume has been replicated.
Procedure
Open a web browser and go to
https://<vStor hostname or IP>:8900
.Log in as
admin
. If this is your first login attempt, the password will beadmin
. You will be prompted to change the password.In the first step of vStor initialization, select Recover from another vStor. Click Start.

In the Credentials step, specify the hostname or IP address of the vStor where the replicated configuration file is stored, and provide user credentials for the user with access to the replicated configuration volume. Click Next.

If the specified user account is protected with multifactor authentication, an additional step will be shown to provide the MFA verification code. Click Next.

In the Config File step, select the volume where the configuration file replicas are stored, then select the configuration file. Click Next.

The configuration file will be loaded. This process may take some time and various http connection errors may be reported. When the process is done, the login screen will be displayed.
Important. At this stage, the configuration file is already loaded. Therefore, log in with credentials valid for the vStor whose configuration you are restoring.
In the Pools step, select disks for each recreated pool. Compare the pool size with the disk capacity to ensure enough volume space is assigned. Click Next.

In the Volumes step, select volumes to recover from partner vStors. Click Recover.
