Agentless VMware Restore

Agentless VMware Restore is the desktop interface restore mode for Agentless VMware Backups. It restores a whole virtual machine or a single virtual disk, either instantly through LUN mapping or as a full copy of the data. See Agentless VMware Restore Job Operations.

To restore individual files or directories from inside a protected VM, use Agentless File Restore in the web interface.

Most Full Virtualization jobs from snapshots of Windows clients are eligible for RRP processing and will transparently use RRP to bring the machine back in minutes. Such jobs are called Full Virtualization with RRP or Full with RRP. For more information about RRP, see Rapid Return to Production (RRP).

Important.

Restoring an encrypted VM in the VMware environment will result in creating a machine with unencrypted data. For details, see VMware Encryption and vSphere documentation.
